Is your system FCC compliant? |
ALERT!!! For all U.S. businesses,
educational, industrial, utility, city, county, state government,
and public safety radio users and licensees...
Is YOUR VHF and/or UHF private two-way LMR voice dispatch, data, or
SCADA radio system ready for the FCC's January 1, 2013 "narrowbanding"
compliance date? Non-compliance may mean license
cancellation!
Do you know the extent of your system's compliance? Will you
need to replace radios only, or base stations and radios, or maybe
only base stations? Maybe your equipment just needs
reprogramming?
WCI can assist you with
determining your needs and requirements.

Key
Points About FCC Narrowbanding Requirements |
Most current VHF/UHF (150-500 MHz) radio systems use wide-band channels.
The Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) has mandated that all non-federal
licensees using wide-band radio systems migrate to
narrowband (12.5 kHz) channels by January 1, 2013.
Entities that do
not meet the deadline face the loss of communication capabilities!
Start
planning now to migrate legacy equipment to narrowband systems by
assessing your current radio equipment and applying for new or
modified licenses. |
